wrong disk size (Win Explorer) after volume extend

after extending a volume with Windows Disk Management the wrong disk size is displayed in Windows Explorer.

Do fix this issue open a command prompt and execute the following commands:

1. diskpart
2. list volume
3. select volume X (for X use the volume with problems)
4. extend filesystem

After these commands the correct disk size should be displayed in Windows Explorer (otherwise use chkdsk and eventually gparted to isolate the problem)
